Sandy Hook Memorial Picture
Years ago I visited the Sandy Hook lighthouse and took a
picture of this lighthouse through a broken wall. I would like to dedicate that
picture to ALL the families and everyone brokenhearted by the Sandy Hook tragedy.
Thank God for all the family members that lost loved ones
who have been able to do something positive (some have started foundations and
organizations to help others).
Even though our family has never suffered grief to their
extent, my heart is broken for all of them, including the Lanza family. But for
the grace of God it could have been any of us. Praying for all of you as you
come to the one year mark. None of you have been forgotten.
Lifeline: Give God all your broken pieces because
only He knows how to put things back together again.

After Boston Bombing..........
What we should all realize is...
Life is fragile, handle with care.
Thoughts and prayers are with all those who were in Boston
and for our country.
"If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

Easter Weekend 2013 at Ocean City, Maryland
For various reasons I've been off line for the past year,
but plan to publish once a month starting now.
Easter weekend was spent in Ocean City, Maryland.
Good Friday evening sunset is pictured below
created by Randy Hofman.
He has been doing these in Ocean City for years. Check out his other work on the web.
Ocean City Baptist pastor spoke 3 things about Jesus
1.Jesus is God
2. Jesus is only way to Heaven
3. Jesus rose from the dead
Because of these 3 things, our behavior should be
compassionate, committed and
Christlike.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord
is to be praised. Psm.113:3
How did you spend Easter? Did you attend a special service?
Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead as He said?

Left Behind
About 6 weeks ago, I started rereading the Left Behind series (authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins). Even though I knew the end (you
know too if you’ve read Revelations) and had read many from the 12 in the Left
Behind series, I started reading them again….just finished Soul Harvest (4th
– Left
Behind, Tribulation Force, Nicolae, Soul Harvest). Tomorrow I pick
up Apollyon
from my library and the next three I purchased cheaply from a second hand store.
Here was the surprise. Even though I knew this “story”
- actually much of the same information is prophesied in Revelation (the Bible), but written as a “fiction”
series - reading this series has been much like today’s news. Big
topics were, Obama Care
(ie. World Health Organization in book series) and our recent economic
crashes (fall of world's economic system and set up of world currency) as well as severe weather (part of the world will be destroyed during the tribulation period).
Believe me, the stage has been set and it has
been shown much clearer to me ten years after some of these books were published just
how much closer we have moved to the coming of our Lord and Savior (the Rapture).

Ohio School Shooting
These comments in no way criticize the families involved since I do not know them,
but reflect my opinion in general on the condition of our society. Tuesday, police in Bath were investigating inappropriate comments by a Revere middle school student, while a 17-year-old Crestwood High School student was arrested in Mantua for allegedly posing with an assault rifle and making threats in two Facebook postings….
Also Tuesday, the Summit County Sheriff's Office says it arrested a 14-year-old at the L.E.A.P. Program in Green on aggravated menacing.
What’s happening to our kids, our schools, our families?
We’ve taken the Bible out of school and replaced it with textbooks void of family values and loaded with humanism. So our kids believe, “It’s all about me.”
Many of us have stopped going to church, teaching Bible principles and praying with our kids.
Instead we’ve hooked up to cable TV and cell phones. We’ve stopped listening to our children, and they’re listening to lies of cyber bullies. Minds have been filled with disrespect for authority and disregard for others.
Self inflicted cuttings and killings are becoming more common than kindness.
The only way to turn things around is to get back to an old Bible command: Love the Lord God and others as yourself.
And it’s time we as adults set the example. Let’s get back to reading, believing and teaching the Bible. Let’s find a place where we can worship God and show love to our family and community as well as the world. We need God today more than ever before.
And let’s pray for the families of Ohio’s shooting. It could have been you or me, our sons, grandchildren.

Re: Grief and Loss of Loved One
Elizabeth Edwards shares this thought about the death of her son in her book, Saving Graces.(p.116)
What we all had to face was not something present
[like our grief or decisions we had to make]
but something absent.
And although anyone could escape something's presence,
there was, we each discovered, no way to escape the absence.
Think about someone you know suffering the loss of a loved one and say a prayer that they will discover the hope of God, the only One who can fill a void.
Why? Because He too suffered loss and promised life eternal for all who accept Him as their Savior.
Those of you who know me, know that my extended family member recently lost a mother and fourteen year old in a car accident.
What are some ways God gives hope?

knowing You care and share in the sorrow we bear.
